DEACON FOR LIFE

Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

Letter from Terri's BrotherWeek of June 28, 2010
Dear Friends,

As you know, Terri's Foundation continues to help fight for those unable to fight for themselves and receives calls regularly from families in need of help when a loved one's life is at risk.

In the next few months we will be participating in several speaking events/conferences continuing our efforts to educate the general public. Not only will we be addressing the issues surrounding Terri's deliberate dehydration death, but will also speak about the lives of the cognitively impaired that remain in the cross hairs of a growing and aggressive pro-death agenda taking place in our nation today. In particular, is the troubling news regarding our federal government now controlling our healthcare.

Just recently, my mother and I attended the National Right to Life Conference in Pittsburgh, PA. The picture included was taken from this annual event held last week.

Not only did we have the opportunity to speak with many of our loyal supporters, and friends, but I was invited to be part of workshop, along with Franciscan Brother, Paul O'Donnell, to speak about Terri's Legacy and the work of Terri's Foundation.

I was also blessed to be asked to speak once again to an inspiring group of teens that were also attending this year event. It was not only another wonderful conference, but extremely important considering the times we live in. We are already looking forward to participating in next year's conference that is scheduled to be held in Jacksonville, FL.

Impatience with Patients Who Won't Die
From May 25, 2010 (Washington Times)

The last time I saw my father he was standing on his stoop, sweetly smiling and waving goodbye. As we backed out of his driveway, I thought about how healthy he looked and how grateful I was that my children and I had seen him this way once again.

Had it been up to a hospital nurse 12 months earlier, Dad would have been dead.

It is important that you know just how vulnerable you and your loved ones are to a system of medical care that is abandoning its promise not to "give advice which may cause death."
