Planned Parenthood misrepresents CDC report to justify its shameful push to eliminate minorities
Planned Parenthood has seized a new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report on state disparities in the teen birth rate to promote its immoral, salacious sex education programs. This is another illustration of how Planned Parenthood uses deception at every level to promote its deadly agenda. The recently released CDC report entitled State Disparities in Teenage Birth Rates in the United States acknowledges that teenage birth rates have continued to decline since their peak in 1991. It then examines the ethnicity of teen mothers in 2007, and finds they are predominantly Hispanic and black in almost every state. Planned Parenthood issued a misleading press release, stating:
"This new CDC report makes it crystal clear that the teen birthrate is lower in states that provide students with comprehensive, evidence-based sex education..."
The CDC report, however, makes no mention of what type of sex education (or abstinence message) is in use in any state or area. Planned Parenthood conveniently ignores the fact that the decrease in teen sexual activity and teen pregnancy coincide with the availability and popularity of abstinence education in the U.S. in the 1990's and into the 2000's. Planned Parenthood then attempts to justify its shameful targeting of minorities with its salacious sex education programs, which promote promiscuity and all sorts of deviate sexual behavior:
"The report demonstrates that the surest way to reduce teenage pregnancy is to provide young people with comprehensive, medically accurate sex education, and doing so is especially urgent for African-American and Latino teens, who are getting pregnant more frequently than other young people...." (emphasis added).
The CDC report, however, makes no such claims about sex education, saying only that "[t]here has been a broad consensus on the goal of preventing teenage pregnancy, and a wide variety of public and private programs have been developed to meet this challenge." It attributes the variations in teen pregnancy by state and ethnicity to "many factors, including differences in socioeconomic factors, such as education and income, risk behaviors such as sexual activity and contraceptive use, and attitudes among teenagers toward pregnancy and childbearing." In concluding its press release, Planned Parenthood reveals its intent to bombard these minorities with its immoral sex education by means of $155 million allocated by the Obama administration:
"Sex educators like Planned Parenthood are poised to make tremendous progress in reducing teen pregnancy, because for the first time in American history the federal government has ensured that federal funds will be used primarily by states and community organizations that provide evidence-based sex education to reduce teen pregnancy. ... The Obama administration's allocation of $155 million for evidence-based sex education represents a true turning point in the history of sex education in the United States."
When you consider that Planned Parenthood was behind the wheel of sex education in the U.S. during the years when teen sexual activity was increasing dramatically, and that teen pregnancy and sexual activity rates began an almost two-decade decline with the availability and popularity of abstinence programs bolstered by a small amount of public funding, it is truly terrifying to think that the new turning point of sex education in the United States is a 180 degree wrong turn - back into the arms of Planned Parenthood. Invoking "disparities in sexual and reproductive health," Sharon Camp, CEO and President of Planned Parenthood's Guttmacher Institute descended on Portland, Oregon, to make the case for targeting minorities with Planned Parenthood's failed programs. Her statements, coupled with Planned Parenthood's press release about the CDC report on disparities in the teen birth rate by state and ethnicity, make it clear that Planned Parenthood plans to ramp up its targeting of minorities with its deadly programs. Joining Camp was the CEO of Planned Parenthood of Central Washington (PPCW) David Greenberg. "Addressing disparities in sexual health in our community is one of Planned Parenthood's top priorities over the next several years," said Greenberg. "The inequities in sexual and reproductive health, like rates of STDs and unplanned pregnancy, are preventable. We believe everyone deserves equal access to preventative health care, regardless of their economic status, race, gender, or religion, and no group should be disproportionately affected by these issues." Planned Parenthood's totally deceptive double talk, painting a picture of helping underserved minorities while in reality attempting to decimate their population via indoctrination into the culture of death and all it has to offer, is a despicable display of chicanery. Planned Parenthood has mapped out its game plan. It is now up to pro-lifers throughout the nation to expose its deadly agenda and drive the bigoted abortion giant out of town. | | Texas pro-lifers picketing home of Planned Parenthood CEO were assaulted and threatened with arrest Last week we brought you the news that Planned Parenthood is now operating Aaron's abortion center in Lubbock, Texas, in stealth mode. It was only after local pro-lifers alerted Fox News that Planned Parenthood confessed that it has taken over the abortion business. Dorothy Boyett, a registered nurse and long-time sidewalk counselor in Lubbock, reports on Sunday's picket of the Planned Parenthood CEO's neighborhood. Sunday afternoon marked the first time to picket the residence of Tony Thornton, CEO of Planned Parenthood of Lubbock. A neighbor hosed us down with a high-pressure water hose, then called the police. Another neighbor called the police because he said our presence made his dog bark. A third neighbor came over and threatened to take the signs out of our hands.
After all of this, three police cars arrived and asked for our identifications. The lady who had previously used the hose came out of Mr. Thornton's house and asked us if we wanted a drink of water. We declined her offer. The police then approached us and asked us to leave. They said if we didn't they would have to arrest us on the charge of blocking a sidewalk and showing offensive pictures. We were also informed the sidewalk itself (2 feet wide) was public but we couldn't stand on it because if a person came by on a bicycle they would have to swerve to avoid us. I asked if there was a 10-foot access from the road to the property line, the usual for the city, and was told there was not. I asked for a supervisor but the officers said they had already talked with their supervisor and that is what he had told them to say. By this time an hour had passed from the time we had arrived; and due to the fact that we had previously planned to stay one hour and not wanting to risk arrest at this time we complied with the officers. We plan to visit with the City attorney on this matter in the coming days. Apparently there are no first amendment [rights] in Lubbock. Kudos to the pro-life activists in Lubbock who are turning up the pressure on Planned Parenthood as it transitions from an abortifacient birth control center to operating an additional full-blown surgical abortion death chamber.
| Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary: Praying the rosary at Planned Parenthood casts light on stark reality
Thanks to Leigh Schuelke for sharing her first experience praying the rosary at Planned Parenthood:I recently participated in a prayerful protest outside of the Planned Parenthood of the Gulf Coast (Houston) as a part of the 40 Days for Life. Even as a lifelong pro-lifer, I had never actually put my beliefs into action until now. I was invited by my sister-in-law to come pray with her, and what I witnessed and experienced brought my somewhat abstract thoughts about abortion into reality. I brought my 6-month-old daughter who I hoped would put a face to all of the precious children who would be aborted that day. As I prayed the Rosary with several other women, my baby cooed and squealed with delight - bringing tears to my eyes at the thought of all the babies who would never experience the joy of a cool Fall day outside. What struck me the most was the number of cars entering the facility's visitor parking lot. In an hour and a half time period, I saw over 30 cars - mothers driving their teenage daughters, teen boys driving their girlfriends, husbands driving their wives - enter the facility. Before this experience, abortion and the work of Planned Parenthood seemed very vague. I know the astonishing numbers of abortions that Planned Parenthood reports every year, so what did I expect to see? One, maybe two, people meander into the facility? How unrealistic and overly optimistic of me. I am thankful for the opportunity to have witnessed outside of the Planned Parenthood, to have prayed for those involved with the abortions and to have had a serious wake-up call. Praying the rosary on site at Planned Parenthood facilities is an integral part of STOPP's campaign to bring Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary, along with special prayers that can be printed from our website, and the carrying of images of Our Lady to the Planned Parenthood centers. St. Pio of Pietrelcina (Padre Pio) would ask for his "weapon" when under attack by the devil, referring to the rosary. It is indeed our greatest weapon in fighting evil. Unlike weapons of destruction, the rosary brings conversion, clarity, and new life to those who pray it as well as those who are being prayed for. We emphatically entreat all pro-lifers of every faith walk to unite behind our campaign to bring Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary, for the closure of Planned Parenthood and the conversion of all those who enter and work there.
| Midland Catholics for Life draw a crowd and media attention with airing of Maafa 21
Congratulations to Midland Catholics for Life, who are grabbing the attention of local black leaders and the media with their recent screening of Maafa 21, a documentary produced by Life Dynamics of Denton, Texas, detailing Planned Parenthood's racist roots and agenda. CBS 7 News reports that the screening drew around 75 people, including members of the local African-American community, among them Pastor Roy Smith of True Life Christian Fellowship, which co-sponsored the event. You can join with pro-life groups across the country in bringing this important, community-changing documentary to your locale.
