Creative new law saves unborn lives!

Pro-Life Friends,

A creative new state law in Nebraska has apparently caused a well-known abortionist to stop doing late abortions there. The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, passed with the help of Nebraska Right to Life and National Right to Life, prohibits elective abortions after the point where there is compelling evidence that the child can feel pain.

LeRoy Carhart did lots of late abortions in Nebraska – he even sued to defend partial-birth abortions all the way to the Supreme Court. But now, he is facing Nebraska’s new law.

So Carhart is setting up shop in three other states – Iowa, Indiana and Maryland – where he can continue to perform abortions in which the unborn child is old enough to feel pain.

National Right to Life wants to pass laws to protect unborn children from the pain of abortion in every state so abortionists like Carhart that do late abortions can’t just pick up their tools of death and set up practice elsewhere. And because pro-lifers like you voted in huge numbers for pro-life candidates, many states that could not pass pro-life legislation in the past now have a real chance to do so!

As we approach Thanksgiving, National Right to Life and the unborn children you help save say a big “Thanks!” to you for what you’ve done to save unborn lives. We all have so much to be grateful for!

But 49 states don’t yet have the life-saving Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Law on their books. Could you help us educate Americans about the pain an unborn child feels and help our campaign to pass this law in the remaining 49 states with a gift of $49 today?

Thank you for anything you can give. To donate to help us pass laws that will protect unborn children from the pain of abortion, click here.

And may you and your loved ones have a most blessed Thanksgiving

For Life,
