Dear Friends,

The battle to protect Ontario’s Catholic schools from the homosexual onslaught organized by Liberal Premier Dalton McGuinty continues unabated.

The premier has systematically prepared his attack over the last number of years by appointing the required pro-“gay” supervisory personnel, by changing textbooks – even for toddlers – and by his 2009 Equity and Inclusiveness strategy. He recently upped the ante again by putting the Ontario Human Right Commission in charge of checking and even initiating accusations of discrimination in Ontario schools.

I would like to call your attention to three articles we placed on our website recently.

From January 28, you will find the article, “McGuinty employs notorious Human Rights Commission to bully opponents of the homosexual lifestyle in schools.”

A related article is from February 18: “OHRC trumps Catholic teaching in Catholic schools.”

Finally, I have put the March editorial on the website. It deals with two issues. One is the idea that “openly gay” students in Catholics schools should be welcomed, an concept derived from the Church’s insistence that “people with homosexual tendencies” should be treated with “respect.” I hold the view that this is a misrepresentation of what the Church really means.

The second subject is the professed Catholic faith of Premier McGuinty. By his long and public opposition to the Church’s rejection of abortion and same-sex “marriage” as immoral actions and deadly sins, he has excommunicated himself from the Church. Yet, he continues to present himself from time to time to receive Holy Communion and many Catholics continue to think of him as a fellow Catholic.

Please read the above-mentioned article and spread the word that the premier’s ideas must be rejected and opposed if the Catholic and public school systems are not to be subverted to their very core.

Other News

The March 2011 edition carries the Ukrainian Greek Catholic hero, Cardinal Josef Slipyj (from prisoner to patriarch) on the cover. As well, our liturgist, Father Neil J. Roy, presents his second instalment of what the new liturgy will bring. And our regular contributors analyze the news in the “Church and World” feature and in their columns, as usual.

Have a blessed Lenten season,
