Planned Parenthood in Kansas Ignored 164 Cases of Child Rape
Former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline dropped a bombshell during a hearing today in a case involving pro-abortion pushback against the charges he filed against a Planned Parenthood abortion business. The man who was the top pro-life attorney in the state of Kansas is in the middle of hearings on nine counts of alleged ethical violations before the Kansas Attorney Disciplinary Board. The trial is estimated to go on for two weeks and is the latest phase in a protracted, multi-year effort to distract from the 107 counts of wrongdoing, including 23 felonies, against a Johnson County, Kansas Planned Parenthood abortion center.

The politically-motivated charges claim Kline acted improperly during his investigations of abortion clinics, even though recently released documents show that investigators for the Disciplinary Administrator cleared Kline of any wrong-doing in 2008.

During the hearing today, Kline made it clear that the actual wrongdoers are working at Planned Parenthood. Like LifeNews.com, pro-life blogger Jill Stanek has been following the Kline hearings and she noted comments Kline made today in court:

In an ethics trial that is seeking to determine in part whether Kline acted too aggressively to enforce Kansas child rape laws in his capacity as Attorney General or Johnson Co. District Attorney, Kline just revealed to the court under oath that he found 166 instances during a specific time period when girls younger than 14 years old got abortions at clinics owned either by late-term abortionist George Tiller or Planned Parenthood of Overland Park.

But during that same time period, Kline testified, Planned Parenthood reported only one case of child rape, and Tiller reported only one case of child rape. This means there were 164 instances when girls 13-years-old and younger had abortions at one of those abortion clinics, and the clinics failed to report the abortions to authorities. Ex Director: Planned Parenthood Has History of OKing Sex Trafficking
In two recent interviews responding to the national videos that have received so much attention, former Planned Parenthood abortion clinic director Abby Johnson says the abortion business has a history of tolerating sex trafficking. The videos show Planned Parenthood staffers in four locations bending over backwards to help undercover investigators posing as sex traffickers. The staff help arrange abortions, STD testing and give advice on how to avoid suspicions from authorities and evade laws.

Abby Johnson, the former director of a Planned Parenthood center in a large Texas town that is home to Texas A&M University, shared her thoughts on the video on the Fox News program O'Reilly Factor on Friday night.

"It happens all the time, it happened at my clinic," Johnson said of Planned Parenthood staffers helping sex traffickers, prostitutes and others in the sex trade to get abortions.

"You let it happen?" O'Reilly responded. "Absolutely. I let it happen," Johnson said, explaining that Planned Parenthood centers create a climate of tolerance because they are so predisposed to selling abortions that morality in other situations — such as the exploitation of women — goes out the window.

"Planned Parenthood has created this idea of tolerance," she explained. "They want to tolerate all these lifestyles, and all these different walks of life for their clients; they forget to protect their clients. They forget to protect these minors that are being abused by pimps and being abused by older men. They forget to protect these women that they're there to help." Full story at LifeNews.com

Canadian Hospital May Still Remove Baby Joseph's Life Support
A Canadian hospital is still threatening to remove the life support for Baby Joseph Maraachli, a one-year-old boy from Windsor, Ontario, who has been at Victoria Hospital in London since October with a rare deteriorating condition that is not improving. This comes after good news where the parents of the child thought the hospital would not remove the life support and where they hoped he would be able to be taken to a hospital in Michigan that would provide appropriate care and treatment.

The doctors who have cared for him want to remove his breathing tube but Moe Maraachli and Sana Nader took their battle to court to allow the tube to be removed at home , so the boy can die surrounded by his family. A Superior Court judge in London, Ontario, last week, dismissed the request of the Canadian couple to overturn a decision requiring the removal of their baby's breathing tube in a hospital instead of at home.

Then, Alex Schadenberg, the director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, told LifeNews.com in an email late Sunday that his group was able to help the couple find a new attorney and make progress.

Now, the hospital is threatening to remove Joseph's life support and the Office of the Public Guardian may be getting involved in the case and could issue a decision forcing the removal of the life support as early as today, according to the CBC. The office could not get involved in the case on Monday because of an official holiday, and it was closed. Full story at LifeNes.com

Phill Kline Fights Back, Says Abortion Probe Tactics Sound
A disciplinary hearing against former Kansas prosecutor Phill Kline kicked off yesterday with all the intensity expected when the matter of abortion is involved. Kline is being charged with ethics violations related to his investigation of abortion abuses during his tenures as State Attorney General and Johnson County District Attorney from 2003-2007.

Disciplinary Administrator Stan Hazlett, who is prosecuting what promises to be the longest disciplinary hearing of its kind ever held in Kansas, revealed that the ethics case against Kline was initiated by complaints from political enemies of Kline's including Dan Monnat, an attorney who was representing late-term abortionist George Tiller of Wichita, who was the one of the subjects of Kline's investigations along with Planned Parenthood of Overland Park.

In opening arguments, Kline's attorney Reid Holbrook noted instance after instance where Hazlett's charges against Kline "parroted" Monnat's motion to dismiss the Tiller case filed by Kline's successor. In that motion, Monnat laid out a wild conspiracy theory suggesting misconduct by Kline. Those accusations were generally discredited by witnesses. Judge Clark Owens found no merit to Monnat's fanciful theories and sent the case on to trial. Full story at LifeNews.com

Delaware Abortion Regulations Pushed After Gosnell Horror
A national pro-life organization is working with local pro-life groups and elected officials in Delaware to promote better regulation of the abortion industry in the state following the horrors found at the Kermit Gosnell abortion center in nearby Philadelphia.

Gosnell is the abortion business owner who ran one of the most filthy and unregulated abortion centers ever exposed and his shoddy practices resulted in the deaths of and injury to women from botched abortions. He also engaged in a brutal practice of live-birth abortions that saw him purposely prematurely birth babies and, afterwards, he would "snip" their spinal cords with medical scissors.

Gosnell not only operated in southeast Pennsylvania, but he was employed at the Delaware abortion facility known as Atlantic Women's Medical Services in Wilmington and Dover, Delaware and where he would work one day per week to do abortions. That abortion center has already come under investigation from Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden and reportedly falsified abortion reports to state officials.

Now, Americans United for Life Action has announced support for an effort by Delaware legislators to introduce a "Women's Health Protection Act" that would, as AUL officials tell LifeNews.com, "enact abortion clinic regulations to protect women from an abortion industry that prioritizes profits and radical ideology over women's health and safety." Pro-Life Leaders Mourn Passing of Bernard Nathanson
The news that former abortion practitioner turned pro-life educator and hero Bernard Nathanson has passed away has been tough for the many pro-life leaders who knew him well and respected his work. Today we feature a sample of some of the heartfelt statements LifeNews.com received about him.

Nathanson, 84, died early Monday morning after a long battle with cancer. As a fellow New Yorker, Jeanne Head, NRLC Vice President for International Affairs and United Nations Representative, knew Dr. Nathanson first as a foe and then as a friend.

"Dr. Nathanson was probably one of the individuals most responsible for Roe v. Wade and, once he realized his error, he dedicated the rest of his life to reversing it," Head said. Full story at LifeNews.com

Joy Behar Calls Pro-Lifers Evil, Immoral, and Stupid
Joy Behar ripped the House of Representatives on her program on Monday for their recent defunding of Planned Parenthood. Behar, focusing on the organization's birth control services, criticized the move as "illogical…because if you are not going to help people with birth control, you're going to have more abortions. So, besides being evil and immoral and unethical, they're also stupid." Full story at LifeNews.com

British Doctors: Tell Women No Abortion-Breast Cancer Link
A British doctors group has prepared new preliminary guidelines saying women should be told there is no link between abortion and breast cancer. That's not going over well with an organization that educates women about the link. The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) has released new guidelines on The Care of Women Requesting Induced Abortion that say, "Women should be informed that induced abortion is not associated with an increase in breast cancer."

The RCOG's guidelines cite a review that says, "Failure to provide this information is a direct threat to maternal autonomy, diminishing a woman's ability to give informed consent." Malec, president of the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer says the guidelines make it appear the British doctors are "putting their wallets ahead of their patients' health much like tobacco executives." 2011: The Beginning of the End of Planned Parenthood, Abortion
Last Friday, for the first time ever, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to federally defund the nation's largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood. As you may know, Planned Parenthood receives over $350 million each year from us, the taxpayers. The organization claims that the money it receives from the federal government does not go to pay for abortions. Full story at LifeNews.com

Indiana Senate Passes Bill to Improve Information on Abortion
The Indiana state Senate passed today a pro-life bill that would improve the informed consent requirements for abortion practitioners before an abortion is performed. The idea is to continue to provide women information that may help women find better alternatives.

Virginia House Revives Bill Targeting Abortion Center Problems
The Virginia state House has revived legislation the state Senate killed that would target the problems at abortion centers and put more regulations in place that would hold them to higher health and safety limits. Del. Kathy Byron, a Republican, on Monday put forward an amendment to SB 924, a Senate bill on health and safety regulations for hospitals. The amendment essentially attached the pro-life bill the Virginia state Senate Education and Health Committee killed earlier this month to the legislation.

Arizona House OKs Ban on Sex-Selection, Race-Based Abortions
The Arizona state House has signed off on a bill that bans abortions sought for sex-selection reasons or because the unborn child is of a certain race. Although the practice is frequently seen in Asian nations like China, India and Vietnam, it has crossed the Pacific Ocean as Asian immigrants have come to the United States and brought with them their cultural preference for sons.
