Las Vegas, NV – Abortionist Frank Silver was evicted from his office on North Buffalo in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 10, 2011, but pro-lifers only just discovered the reason for its closure this month when a local woman posted photos of Silver’s eviction notice on her Facebook page. The clinic was set back from the street in a business park, so when the eviction notice was posted, pro-life supporters were not immediately aware of it.

“We knew that this office had closed, but we only got news of Silver’s eviction last week,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “This eviction is just more evidence of a failing abortion industry and of an abortionist who cannot or will not follow the law and keep his contractual obligations.”

The building was sealed by authorities with an orange sticker that reads “Warning, Keep Out,” but the sticker has been broken.

Silver had once done abortions at three Las Vegas clinics. He continues to operate at one remaining location.

There are six abortion clinics left in Nevada. Five of them operate in the Las Vegas area and one is in Reno. Since 1991, over two-thirds of all surgical abortion clinics have closed across the country, according toOperation Rescue’s Project Daniel 5:25, a listing of the nation’s surgical abortion clinics named after the Biblical story of Daniel, who was able to read the handwriting on the wall and predict the fall of a wicked kingdom. Daniel told the king that God had weighed his kingdom in the balances and found it wanting, therefore its days were numbered.

“In 1991, there was an estimated 2,200 abortion clinics in the U.S. Today that number had dropped to 679, and continues to decrease by the month,” said Newman. “The closing of Silver’s clinic brings us another step closer to a final end to abortion in this nation.”
