Planned Parenthood Ties Itself in Knots of Deceit to Justify Population Eradication

Contraception and abortion prevent and take the lives of countless babies every year. These are unique lives-the loss of which will be felt for many years to come. While their effects are devastating to the families who are directly affected by the loss, we are now finding that there is a cost to society as well. Read today's guest commentary for more on this timely and important subject.

U.S. objects to new law on clinics in Indiana

NY Times
WASHINGTON - The Obama administration is raising serious objections to a new Indiana law that cuts off state and federal money for Planned Parenthood clinics providing health care to low-income women on Medicaid. The objections set the stage for a clash between the White House and Gov. Mitch Daniels, a Republican, over an issue that ignites passions in both parties. The changes in Indiana are subject to federal review and approval, and administration officials have made it clear they will not approve the changes in the form adopted by the state.
Redwood City (CA) approves Planned Parenthood permit

Redwood City

City officials have approved a conditional use permit for Planned Parenthood to operate a clinic at 2980 El Camino after months of deliberation and several protests from community members. Planned Parenthood will be able to provide adequate parking and access to the facility, the primary concerns with the application, according to city spokesperson Malcolm Smith. In reviewing the clinic's application, the city was not reviewing the city's services, but other issues such as whether the site was compatible with surrounding land uses and compliant with city regulations. The city deemed that Planned Parenthood could adequately meet these requirements and could move forward with construction.

Americans still split along 'pro-choice,' 'pro-life' lines

Gallup

Gallup's 2011 Values and Beliefs survey, conducted May 5-8, finds a bit more public agreement about the morality of abortion. Just over half of Americans, 51%, believe abortion is "morally wrong," while 39% say it is "morally acceptable." Americans' views on this have been fairly steady since 2002, except for 2006, when they were evenly divided.
