The Language of Personhood?

American Life League has been working hard to educate pro-lifers about what personhood is, why it is important, and how it works with various audiences in the U.S. and abroad. Most recently, ALL's senior congressional liaison, Johanna Dasteel, gave a presentation to students at St. Michael's High School in Fredericksburg, VA, on the topic. It focused on the history and importance of the efforts pro-lifers have made to have the term "person" in our state and federal constitutions defined so that it applies to every human being-including the preborn.

GOP has 'blueprint for action' on Planned Parenthood

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America, which receives about $1 million a day in taxpayer funds, should be investigated by Congress, a group of House Republicans said in a Capitol Hill event Thursday. A House hearing has not been set, the members said. However, Rep. Cliff Stearns, Florida Republican and chairman of the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee on oversight and investigations, said in a statement that he is considering holding a hearing on Planned Parenthood.                   


 

Pro-life billboards removed because of pro-abort campaign? 'It's a total lie,' says ad sponsor

One of the pro-life leaders behind a recent billboard campaign in California has called out pro-abortion protesters and media for painting the scheduled end of the ad campaign as the supposed result of grassroots pressure. A press release by pro-abortion group Strong Families picked up by RH Reality Check on July 13 hailed the removal of 60 billboards by The Radiance Foundation as well as the efforts of local opposition. The billboards, showing an African-American child alongside the words "Black and Beautiful" and the TooManyAborted.com website, were decried by pro-abortion leaders as racist.       
New 'Dr. Death' admits to assisting the deaths of 300 in U.S.

Dr. Lawrence Egbert, the medical director for the Final Exit Network (FEN) euthanasia advocacy organization, has been dubbed the new "Dr. Death," after he admitted to the media that he and his organization have helped direct the deaths of nearly 300 people across the U.S. Egbert, however, was quick to point out that he and his organization never directly cause the death of a "patient," but rather provide "exit guides" who offer advice on how to "hasten death."
