Discerning the call to Pro-Life leadership

40days2

Dear Friends,

If you're thinking of bringing 40 Days for Life to your
home town from September 28 -- November 6, this message
is for you.

(If you're not being called to leadership, you're still
welcome to read on -- you may find out some things you
didn't know about 40 Days for Life.)

We have a week and a half to go before applications
close on Tuesday, July 26 at midnight Pacific time, so
please read our brand-new campaign overview report to
learn what's involved in hosting 40 Days for Life.

out if leading a campaign is for you:

This document goes back to the beginning of 40 Days for
Life in Bryan/College Station, Texas in 2004.

There was -- and still is -- a crisis. The overall
abortion total has surpassed 52 million in the United
States alone. The global total is unimaginable.

When we were looking for answers seven years ago in
Texas, we turned to God. We turned to prayer.

We were drawn to a scripture verse you might know --
2 Chronicles 7:14:

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble
themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from
their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and
will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

So we decided to pray -- for 40 days and 40 nights,
in keeping with the theme that God has brought about
transformation through 40-day challenges a number of
times in biblical history.

From Noah in the ark ... to Moses on the mountain
... to Christ in the desert, God has used 40 days to
make His point. It seemed only right to use 40 days
to bring the power of prayer to the very place in our
town where lives were being lost to abortion.

That first campaign in Texas drew more than 1,000
new volunteers to pray and fast and dropped local
abortions by 28 percent.

The bottom line: God hears and answers your prayers!

Four years ago, the first set of coordinated national
40 Days for Life campaigns took place. Since then,
1,332 campaigns have been conducted in 387 cities
in North America and beyond.

More than 400,000 people have gotten involved -- and
more than 4,300 lives have been saved from abortion.

Some 53 abortion clinic workers have quit their jobs
and 13 clinics where 40 Days for Life campaigns have
taken place have shut their doors forever.

We don't claim credit; all the glory goes to God alone.

Could this happen in your town? In a word ...

... YES!

The campaign overview report will tell you how:

http://40daysforlife.com/report

The report will show you how to build a team to carry
out various campaign-related tasks (this is NOT meant
to be a one-person operation) and outline some of the
things that can be done in your own community.

So please read the report!

And pray.

For clarity and discernment, pray for an hour OUTSIDE
the local abortion facility (or other location) where
your potential 40 Days for Life vigil could be held.
