Congress to Vote on Sex-Selection Abortion Ban Next Week
The House of Representatives will consider the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act, a bill to ban sex-selection abortions, next week. PRENDA was introduced by pro-life Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) and was approved by the House Judiciary Committee on February 16.
Majority Leader Eric Cantor announced today that Republicans have scheduled time for a debate and vote on the bill next week, on Wednesday, May 30. Because H. R. 3541 will be considered on the Suspension Calendar, a two-thirds majority will be necessary for passage.

Shock: British Teens Have as Many as Seven Abortions
New figures from the British government show hundreds of teenagers in the U.K. are having multiple taxpayer-funded abortions with three who had several government-funded abortions before their 20th birthday.
The Daily Telegraph newspaper obtained official NHS figures using a Freedom of Information Act request and determined that two teenage girls had their seventh abortion in 2010, the most recent year during which the government has figures. Neonatology Professor: Unborn Babies Feel Pain at 20 Weeks
The Subcommittee on the Constitution of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee recently held a hearing on legislation that would ban abortions in the District of Columbia after 20 weeks fetal gestation, based on the ability of the fetus to experience pain at that point and beyond.
The legislation, The District of Columbia Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, H.R. 3803, is based on medical and scientific findings that the unborn child at 20 weeks and beyond is capable of feeling pain, and may even be more sensitive to pain at that point than newborns are. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/05/25/neonatology-professor-unborn-babies-feel-pain-at-20-weeks/
Senate Democrats Vote to Fund Abortions at Military Hospitals
Democrats in the Senate Armed Services Committee, yesterday, voted to add a provision to the 2013 defense authorization bill, that forces taxpayers to fund abortions at U.S. military base hospitals.
Current law in effect since 1996 prohibits the performance of abortion by Department of Defense medical personnel or at DOD medical facilities. Abortion Doc Loses License After Killing Woman in Botched Abortion
A new York-based abortion practitioner has lost his medical license after killing a woman in a failed legal abortion. Robert Hosty ran the A-1 Women s Center abortion clinic in Queens, New York, but has had his license revoked following complains made by a pro-life group.
Operation Rescue staff filed a complaint against him for the death of Alexandra Nunez, a 37-year old single mother of four. Former LFO Member Brad Fischetti Now a Pro-Life Activist
Since yesterday liberal websites have been aghast at the news former Lyte Funky Ones boy band member Brad Fischetti (on the far right in photo) is now a pro-life activist.
LFO was a pop/hip hop group that had several hits between 1998-2002, the most prominent of which were Summer Girls, Girl on TV, and Every Other Time.
