ATLANTA, June 19, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- LIFE AT ALL COSTS: AN ANTHOLOGY OF VOICES FROM 21ST CENTURY BLACK PROLIFE LEADERS is the latest in the National Black Prolife Coalition's message campaign that is informing and transforming the culture of death to a culture of life. This Juneteenth announcement is in keeping with their intent to educate the masses as to the harmful impact of abortion, genocide and eugenics that is decimating the African American communities and society as a whole.

Mack Rights of the Frederick Douglass Foundation says that LIFE AT ALL COSTS is "a fine and important book." Citing the chapter by Dr. Levon Yuille in particular, Rights continues: "This is a review of just four pages of this fine book Life At All Costs, the rest of this book is just as profound. Get it, it just might change your life. These are the heart-felt words of those on the front lines in the battle between good and evil. These Christian warriors are not at all perfectly sinless now -- nor were they before they joined this battle -- but they are indeed willing to continue to tackle that 'mountain of Traditional Values,' even despite their occasional setbacks.

"It's during these setbacks that we need these words the most." Juneteenth day celebrates and symbolizes the end of slavery in the United States. President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on September 22, 1862. But, it was not until June 19, 1865 that all slaves were finally freed. That concluding event was when General Gordon Granger rode into Galveston, Texas with his troops and issued Order Number 3 which finally freed the last of the slaves. The formal end of slavery was marked by the passing of the 13th amendment of the constitution.

For many today Juneteenth commemorates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement. It is a day, a week, and in some areas a month marked with celebrations, guest speakers, picnics and family gatherings. It is a time for reflection and rejoicing. It is a time for assessment, self-improvement and for planning the future.

The authors of LIFE AT ALL COSTS want to include the liberty of babies in the wombs of their mothers who are facing the threat of abortion at disproportionate numbers. Also, the issue of women's health and safety are of great concern to the Coalition. This new book is part of an educational campaign to end abortion, genocide and eugenics aimed at the African American communities of America. The Sensitized to the conditions and experiences of others, only then can we make significant and lasting improvements in our society.

The book is available online at your local bookstores. To book tours and speaking engagements with the authors, contact www.blackprolifecoalition.org.
