The Nativity of St. John the Baptist
Dear John,
Like John the Baptist, we are called upon to be LIGHT, light that is stronger than darkness. One elderly women, who had a rough day, knew how best to react. She didn’t give up, she didn’t go into a shell. Rather, she explained: “The darker the night, the brighter you got to shine.”
One bright light has been the work of Catholic Medical Mission Board. Reaching out with a helping hand to those in need, as CMMB has done for the past 100 years, is surely one way to overcome the darkness and let the light shine!

Almighty God, by Whose providence Your servant John the Baptist was wonderfully born, and sent to prepare the way of Your Son our Savior by preaching repentance, make us follow His teaching and holy life. May we follow His example and constantly speak the truth, boldly rebuke vice and patiently suffer for truth’s sake. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen
