Just 33% Back Pro-Abortion Obamacare as Supreme Court Decides
With the Supreme Court expected to issue its landmark ruling in the Obamacare case next week, polling data reveals just one-third of Americans support the controversial health care law.

The Supreme Court is likely to release its landmark decision on the constitutionality of the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act within the next week. Americans show at best mixed support for the law and widely view the individual mandate that requires Americans to have health insurance as unconstitutional, a new Gallup analysis indicates. Although President Obama and his supporters predicted that Americans would become more positive about the law after it passed and they had time to better understand it, that has not been the case. Americans appear as negative or more negative now than they were when the PPACA was first passed. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/just-33-back-pro-abortion-obamacare-as-supreme-court-decides/

Melinda Gates to Host Event With Top Pro-Abortion Groups
Melinda Gates, the wife of billionaire Microsoft founder Bill Gates, will be hosting a Family Planning Summit in London with two of the biggest pro-abortion groups in the world, the UN Population Fund and International Planned Parenthood Federation.

Austin Ruse, the president of C-FAM, a pro-life group that works to press cause at the United Nations, has more information on what s in store.

They say they want to raise $4 billion to promote contraception among poor women. This is population control plain and simple, population control aimed at poor dark-skinned women, he said. We have tried to get pro-lifers registered for this summit so there can be a counter voice but we are getting shut out by Planned Parenthood. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/melinda-gates-to-host-event-with-top-pro-abortion-groups/

Huge Abortion Rate Decline Shows Pro-Life Progress
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a report this week which analyzes trends in pregnancy rates, birth rates, and abortion rates since 1990. Both the CDC and the Guttmacher Institute frequently release data on the incidence of abortion.

However, this report is unique because it presents the trends by race, age, and marital status. Overall, the news is good. The national abortion rate is falling fairly steadily and has declined by over 29 percent since 1990. Additionally, there has been a decline in the incidence of abortion among nearly all demographic groups. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/huge-abortion-rate-decline-shows-pro-life-progress/

WHO Releases Abortion How-To Guide: Best Methods for Killing Babies
The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a second edition of Safe abortion: technical and policy guidance for health systems. This document is updated from the original 2003 publication and runs 134 pages; it can be found here.

The new document details various methods of killing unborn children and the very best way, as recommended by WHO, to kill them.

It is a horrific read, stated Scott Fischbach, Executive Director of MCCL Global Outreach. Following these guidelines will assuredly kill women and their unborn children, especially in developing nations. Some of the recommendations, WHO admits, are based on low to moderate scientific evidence. They are truly reckless and deadly. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/who-releases-abortion-how-to-guide-best-methods-for-killing-babies/

Pro-Abortion Movement Finds Ultrasound Images Threatening
The pro-abortion movement finds itself once again between a rock and a hard place as technology advancements shed greater light on the humanity of the unborn child.

From the advent of 4-D ultrasounds to Facebook allowing parents to list their unborn child as a family member on their profiles, technology has only aided the pro-life cause. The latest trend to give voice to the voiceless child in the womb is the Photoshopping of sonogram images onto a picture of the mother s belly. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/pro-abortion-movement-finds-ultrasound-images-threatening/

Komen Sees Huge Drop in Support After Planned Parenthood Funding
Komen affiliates are seeing huge drops in support in terms of the number of walkers participating in events and the amount of donations coming in following its decision to re-establish funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

In Missouri, KMOX reports that one of the largest Komen walks in the country, in St. Louis, saw almost half the number of walkers this time as it did the year prior. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/21/komen-sees-huge-drop-in-support-after-planned-parenthood-funding/

Former Abortion Worker: My Hands Were an Accessory to Murder
As a pre-abortion counselor, I occasionally had a pregnant mother ask me to come visit her in the recovery room once it was all over. Naturally, whoever accompanied her to the abortion clinic that day was not permitted in any of the medical areas, so requests like this were not uncommon.

Some of the weepier women (who were scheduled to be awake with local anesthetic for their abortions) would ask if I could join them in the procedure room to hold their hands during their abortions. I would attempt to deflect this question by reminding them that a nurse would be there to hold their hands, but a few would persist in asking if I could be there to hold their hands. More than a few times, I agreed. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/former-abortion-worker-my-hands-were-an-accessory-to-murder/

Republican Women Knocked for Opposing Sex-Selection Abortion Ban
Two Republican members of the U.S. House are under fire today from pro-life groups for voting recently against the ban on sex-selection abortions despite previous pro-life votes they had cast on abortion issues. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/republican-women-knocked-for-opposing-sex-selection-abortion-ban/

Poll: Young Voters Oppose Obama Abortion Record, HHS Mandate
Students for Life of America commissioned a new poll of young voters that finds they do not like the pro-abortion record of President Barack Obama and also don t favor his HHS mandate that forces religious groups to pay for abortion-causing drugs and birth control. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/poll-young-voters-oppose-obama-abortion-record-hhs-mandate/

Obama s Backwards Approach: Protect the State From the Church
The views about faith and religion that President Obama expressed in his Commencement Address at Notre Dame pave the way for his HHS mandate. He would protect the state from the church, not by privatizing faith, but by redefining it. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/obamas-backwards-approach-protect-the-state-from-the-church/

Research to Focus on Allowing Unconscious Patients to Communicate
Patients diagnosed as persistently unconscious may be the most scorned people on earth. I mean, who else could be called a turnip or carrot with impunity? It is within the context of this unrepentent bigotry that I analyze a hopeful story about increasing efforts to find the consciousness within the diagnosed unconscious. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/research-to-focus-on-allowing-unconscious-patients-to-communicate/

Abortion Doc Stripped of Medical License in Kansas
A Kansas-based abortion practitioner was stripped of her medical license after state officials learned that she had been violating Kansas abortion law when working with late-term abortion practitioner George Tiller. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/abortion-doc-stripped-of-medical-license-in-kansas/

Personhood Amendment Backers Target Pro-Life Candidates
The pro-life movement includes people and organizations working in a variety of ways to protect women and unborn children and to find the most effective and fastest solution to ending abortion. However, it appears one element of the pro-life community is targeting another for disagree with its strategy. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/personhood-amendment-backers-target-pro-life-candidates/

Massachusetts: Choose Life Plates May Be Run Off the Road
Pro-life groups in Massachusetts worked hard to get the ability to have Choose Life license plates for pro-life motorists to purchase for their vehicles. Now, they may be in danger of having proceeds taken away if pro-life drivers don t purchase more soon. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/massachusetts-choose-life-plates-may-be-run-off-the-road/

NARAL: Fortnight for Freedom Event Like Making Women Wear Corsets
The nation s Catholic bishops are spearheading an effort, with the support of pro-life advocates and leaders of other faiths, to stand up for conscience rights and religious freedoms. But NARAL suggests the event is another battle in the so-called War on Women. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/22/naral-fortnight-for-freedom-event-like-making-women-wear-corsets/
