Obama, Catholic Relief Services, and Doublespeak

Repeatedly, we see that the Catholic Church in America does not always take an adequate stand when it comes to upholding the tenets of our faith. Money from Catholic service organizations flows to organizations with policies that are not aligned with the Catholic Church. Too many bishops remain silent when government agencies attempt to enforce their policies on Catholic organizations. And the list continues to grow. Today's commentary examines the sad state that the Church finds herself in and stresses the importance of remaining always faithful to the Church and God's laws.

Hidden abortion agenda in UN convention on disability rights

Senator John Kerry (D-MA), Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations, is calling for a vote by July 26 on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD)-just two months after President Obama sent the treaty to the Senate. Despite its attractive and seemingly innocuous title, the CRPD represents yet another push to ensconce abortion rights in an international treaty.  

20-year-old pro-life Crossroads walker 
hit by car and killed this morning

A young man praying the rosary while participating in the Crossroads Pro-Life walks across America was killed when struck by a car in Indiana early Friday morning. Andrew Moore, 20, of California, was walking along U.S. 40 near Stilesville at 5 a.m. when the incident occurred, according to the Indianapolis Star Press. Moore died at the scene.

Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, Inc. is under investigation for charges of illegally billing Medicaid nearly $28 million in fraudulent claims, among other charges. If found guilty, Planned Parenthood could face up to $5.5 billion in fines to the State of Iowa and the United States for illegal activities in its Iowa clinics.
