When Abortion Discriminates

Why is it wrong to abort unborn female babies because they are female and not wrong to abort unborn babies who happen to be female?

And then there are those costly people born with disabilities. And what about unborn babies with Down Syndrome? Some fiscal conservatives and most "quality-of-life" prochoicers agree that the world would be a better place -- or a pleasantly less expensive one -- if such as these never made it out of the womb.

The consistent position for so-called prochoicers to take, of course, is that it should be legal to abort any baby at any point in gestation for any reason -- and many do take such a stance.
