Doc Who Killed Woman in 33-Week Abortion May Face Lawsuit
A pro-life group that has led the way in exposing the botched abortion that claimed the life of New York woman at a Maryland abortion clinic is considering filing a lawsuit against the abortion practitioner responsible.

Following a new probe started by local officials, the Maryland Attorney General has opened an investigation into the late-term abortion practitioner who killed a woman last week in a botched abortion. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/doc-who-killed-woman-in-33-week-abortion-may-face-lawsuit/

Rubio State of the Union Response: Every Life is Precious
In a genuine State of the Union response that saw pro-life Sen. Marco Rubio nervously present a Republican response to pro-abortion President Barack Obama, the Florida senator made a pro-life case.

The State of the Union address is always a reminder of how unique America is. For much of human history, most people were trapped in stagnant societies, where a tiny minority always stayed on top, and no one else even had a chance, he said. But America is exceptional because we believe that every life, at every stage, is precious, and that everyone everywhere has a God-given right to go as far as their talents and hard work will take them. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/rubio-state-of-the-union-response-every-life-is-precious/

Parents Reject Doctor s Advice to Abort Baby With Birth Defects
Adeline Raymond defied the odds. She was given a one-in-ten chance of surviving her birth, not by her doctors, but by statistics. If it were up to some of her doctors, Adeline wouldn t have made it. Her parents Andy and Ida said they were told by doctors to abort her.

Adeline s misfortune was being diagnosed in the womb with multiple birth defects. The statistics show a staggeringly high rate of abortions performed on children diagnosed with disabilities in the womb. One international study showed 92 percent of children diagnosed with Down syndrome and 64 percent diagnosed with spina bifida were aborted. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/parents-reject-doctors-advice-to-abort-baby-with-birth-defects/

New NARAL President: Abortion is Like a Wish-Granting Genie
With states passing more Pro-Life legislation than ever before, anti-Life activists have been left scrambling to come up with ever more euphemistic and rosy descriptions of choice to entice Americans back to the dark side.

We ve heard abortion called reproductive freedom and even reproductive justice for decades, but now the abortion camp is really stepping up the rhetoric. Former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, called abortion the most basic of human rights. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/new-naral-president-abortion-is-like-a-wish-granting-genie/

Woman Puts 5-Month-Old Baby in Trash Can After Self-Abortion
A Houston, Texas woman who reportedly took pills to cause a self-induced abortion placed the body of the 5-month-old unborn baby in a trash can.

Police have found the body of the unborn baby the unnamed woman discarded in the trash can of her southwest Houston home. Authorities searched the home after relatives notified them of the self-abortion. The woman s family had no idea she was pregnant and the woman apparently recently moved into the home and hid the pregnancy from her family. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/woman-puts-5-month-old-baby-in-trash-can-after-self-abortion/

40 Days for Life Campaign Celebrates Abortion Center Closing
Last night, I spoke at a kickoff event near Houston, and David Bereit, our national director, spoke at an opening rally in Fairfax, Virginia.

Those are just two of the 261 locations that start 40 Days for Life campaigns TODAY at a time when many Christians are entering the season of Lent to prepare their hearts for the celebration of Christ s Resurrection on Easter Sunday. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/40-days-for-life-campaign-celebrates-abortion-center-closing/

Bill Maher: Priests Would OK Birth Control if Altar Boys Got Pregnant
There clearly is no limit to Bill Maher s depravity.

On TBS s Conan Tuesday, the comedian beloved by the liberal media said that Catholic priests would use birth control if altar boys could get pregnant (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary): http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/bill-maher-priests-would-ok-birth-control-if-altar-boys-got-pregnant/

Poll: New Yorkers Reject Cuomo s Late-Term Abortion Bill
A new poll shows New York residents oppose the bill New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is promoting that would promote late-term abortions and take pro-life laws off the books. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/poll-new-yorkers-reject-cuomos-late-term-abortion-bill/

After Botched Late-Term Abortion Complaints, Medical Board Blocks Pro-Lifers
The New Mexico Medical Board is seeking to change Board Regulations on Complaint Procedures in the wake of the high-profile case against late-term abortionist Shelley Sella, who was cleared last week on charges of gross negligence related to a botched 35-week abortion that resulted in a ruptured uterus. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/after-botched-late-term-abortion-complaints-medical-board-blocks-pro-lifers/

Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz Attacks Cuccinelli in Virginia

Forced Do Not Resuscitate Orders Coming to Texas?
Good grief! The state with the worst futile care law in the nation now has legislation pending that would enable doctors to place DNR (do not resuscitate) orders on a patients chart without notice or permission even if the patient is competent! From the text of S.B. 303. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/forced-do-not-resuscitate-orders-coming-to-texas/

CNN Asks for Abortion Stories, Ignores Its Harm on Women

Texas Abortion Standards So Bad Women Could Die From Abortions
Last week, a young woman and her child both died allegedly at the hands of notorious late-term abortionist, Leroy Carhart, in Germantown, Maryland. Texas Right to Life is saddened by these untimely, preventable deaths. We are even more determined to hold negligent abortionists accountable to the law. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/texas-abortion-standards-so-bad-women-could-die-from-abortions/

Pennsylvania Abortions Drop 7% as Program Helps Pregnant Women
Pennsylvania s first-in-the-nation Pregnancy and Parenting Support Program has served over 211,036 women the last 17 years. Started in 1996 to offer women counseling and mentoring support as an alternative to abortion, the statewide Program has provided over 1 million support service visits to women throughout Pennsylvania. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/pennsylvania-abortions-drop-7-as-program-helps-pregnant-women/

Cloning Company Geron Sells Embryonic Stem Cell Business
I was right. Again. Last month, I predicted that Geron would sell its defunct embryonic stem cell business this year, and the one major ESCR human trial would be on the road to resuming. (Yes, I know there are a few other tiny studies ongoing.) One month later, and it has happened. From the Nature Biotechnology story (subscription required). http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/13/cloning-company-geron-sells-embryonic-stem-cell-business/
