Group Wants License Yanked of Doc Who Killed Women in 33-Week Abortion
One day after the medical examiner s office confirmed a botched 33-week abortion killed a young woman earlier this month, a pro-life group has filed a complaint with the state medical board.

Jennifer McKenna Morbelli, a 29-year-old woman from New Rochelle, New York died from a botched 33-week abortion on February 7.

Researchers Map Fetal Brain Signals For First Time Ever
Researchers at Wayne State University in Michigan are mapping, for the first time ever, fetal brain signals.

Science has proven that unborn babies show brainwaves starting at just several weeks into pregnancy and the scientists say the mapping project could lead to methods of helping prevent and treat brain disorders such as autism or dyslexia. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/21/researchers-map-fetal-brain-signals-for-first-tmie-ever/

Nine U.S. Senators Tell Court: Protect Hobby Lobby From Obama Mandate
Nine U.S. Senators and two U.S. Representatives, along with the Oklahoma Attorney General and 11 other key groups, filed friend-of-the-court briefs supporting the Becket Fund s challenge to the HHS mandate on behalf of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. The HHS mandate forces the Christian-owned-and-operated business to provide the morning after pill and week after pill in their health insurance plan or face crippling fines.

While any brief by sitting members of Congress is significant, this one comes from members who originally supported the federal civil rights law the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 which is at the heart of the mandate challenges, said Kyle Duncan, General Counsel for the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/21/nine-u-s-senators-tell-court-protect-hobby-lobby-from-obama-mandate/

Arkansas Passes Bills to Ban Abortion, Sends to Gov. Beebe
The Arkansas state legislature finalized two bills today that would ban abortions and sent both to the desk of Governor Mike Beebe, who has yet to indicate he if will sign them into law.

The Arkansas Senate voted today for a bill that would ban virtually all abortions in the state. The measure would ban abortions at the point when a unborn child s heart starts to beat. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/21/arkansas-passes-bills-to-ban-abortion-sends-to-gov-beebe/

Black Pro-Lifers Get Twitter Account Back After NAACP Gets It Banned
On January 28, in my capacity as social media manager for a coalition of national black pro-life leaders, I set up accounts on Facebook and Twitter to promote our upcoming demonstration in Los Angeles of the NAACP Image Awards on February 1.

We had a number of press releases going out that morning, and I wanted to take advantage of social media platforms to raise awareness about what I call the Black Betrayal NAACP s gross failure to put black America s best interest first, demonstrated by its willingness to not only ignore the black genocidal agenda of Planned Parenthood but to go so far as partner with this organization that racially targets black communities with abortion. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/21/black-pro-lifers-get-twitter-account-back-after-naacp-gets-it-banned/

What is the Life of a Person With Disabilities Worth?
Apparently, it s only around $8.00. That s the average price of a movie ticket today, and that s all it took for Robert Saylor to be killed while in custody of three police officers.
Robert Saylor was a 26-year-old man who had Down syndrome.

He went to see a movie in Frederick, Maryland with a health aide. After the movie was over, he wanted to see it again, so he remained in the movie theater. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/21/what-is-the-life-of-a-person-with-disabilities-worth/

Salon Attacks Pro-Lifers for Caring for Woman Who Died in Abortion
Reaching a new low in journalism, a writer in Salon has compared pro-lifers holding a candlelight vigil for a woman who died in a late-term abortion to the Westboro Baptist Church s protests of military funerals.

The Westboro Bapist Church holds loud, angry protests outside funerals of soldiers with obscene signs, saying that the soldiers deserved to die. Writer Steven Hsieh apparently sees no difference between that and the quiet, prayerful vigil held to mourn a woman and child who lost their lives in a brutal, unnecessary fashion. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/21/salon-attacks-pro-lifers-for-caring-for-woman-who-died-in-abortion/

Pro-Life Prayers Save 94 Babies From Abortion, So Far
The first time I was invited to pray outside of an abortion facility, I didn t really want to do it. Like me, many people s initial reaction is to find the most heartfelt and sincere excuse. However, when we overcome that first natural hesitation and just do it, we don t regret it. And it s never what we thought it would be like. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/21/pro-life-prayers-save-94-babies-from-abortion-so-far/

IKEA s Pro-Life Shows After Conception a Baby Comes
Sometimes the truth about when life begins shows up in the most unlikely places, such as an ad for IKEA, the trendy furniture store. Posted on Reddit, this ad for Australian IKEAs said. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/21/ikeas-pro-life-shows-after-conception-a-baby-comes/

Pro-Life Organizations Take on UN Human Rights Council
Several pro-life and pro-family organizations have submitted statements to the Advisory Committee to the Human Rights Council to ask that universal values shared by all civilizations and cultures, including the right to life of unborn children and the natural family as the fundamental unit of society, are not forgotten in the quest to promote and protect human rights worldwide. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/21/pro-life-organizations-take-on-un-human-rights-council/

Laws Needed to Protect Teens From Adults Forcing Abortions
A brave 16-year-old girl, who is 10-weeks pregnant, won a case in Texas Family Court recently, which protects her from being forced by her parents to get an abortion. Her name has not been revealed because she is a minor. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/21/laws-needed-to-protect-teens-from-parents-forcing-abortions/

Australia Abortion Doctor on Trial for Spreading Hepatitis C
An Australian doctor is on trial for carelessly spreading hepatitis C to 55 women in an abortion clinic. James Latham Peters, 63, was addicted to the opiate fentanyl, and he reused the same needle he injected himself with on the women who came in for abortions. In his compromised state, he did not realize that he was spreading his own infection to the women. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/21/australia-abortion-doctor-on-trial-for-spreading-hepatitis-c/
