Obama Admin Admits China’s One-Child Policy Ups Sex Trafficking,
Won’t Condemn It
The
US State Department this past week released its yearly, “Trafficking
in Persons Report.” China received an automatic downgrade to the
lowest ranking, Tier 3, for being a destination country for sex-trafficking.
The State Department acknowledged the one-child policy as the “key source of demand” for sex-trafficking and forced prostitution within the country, but remained silent regarding the abolition of the harmful policy in its list of policy recommendations for China. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/

it finally happened: rapper Kanye West and professional famehound Kim Kardashian
had their baby, a girl, this weekend. Unfortunately for the “happy”
couple, though, the birth was marred by an ill-timed leaking of a single off
Kanye West’s newest album, Yeezus. (The title is a mix of Kanye’s
nickname, Ye, and Jesus. Get it?)

organs in animals–made from human stem cells–for later use in transplant
surgery. I am dubious.From the story: A panel of scientists and legal experts appointed by the government has drawn up a recommendation that will form the basis of new guidelines for Japan’s world-leading embryonic research. opinion poll carried out by Amárach Research on behalf of the Life
Institute and Family and Life shows that the vast majority of Irish voters
believe Taoiseach Enda Kenny is wrong to try to force pro-life TDs and Senators
to vote for his abortion legislation.
It also shows that 86 per cent of voters would prefer to see the abortion issue resolved by popular referendum than by the politicians in Leinster House. A similar proportion believe that if legislators are to decide the issue they should be allowed a free vote. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/

blasted media outlets for being too “balanced” in their coverage
of Dr. Henry Morgentaler’s death by interviewing pro-life Canadians.

legislation designed to prevent minors seeking abortion without parental consent
from “judge shopping.”

Minor girls who have
been denied a judicial bypass at one court would not be permitted to seek
a bypass at another county court. S.B. 254 also creates guidelines for judges
in making a determination regarding the maturity of the girl seeking an abortion,
and her best interests. These guidelines are consistent with the line of questioning
recommended by the Michigan Benchbook, and include taking into consideration
