Lifeissues.net: clear thinking about crucial issues

Dear Friends for Life,
Planned Parenthood targets Latina teens with salacious online novella

Planned Parenthood's has its guns aimed squarely at Hispanic teens, as it continues its latest foray into eugenic targeting via an unbelievably salacious novella featuring an all-Latino/Latina cast.

Taxpayer dollars fund creepy Planned Parenthood Condom Man, target Hispanics

Planned Parenthood's unbelievably creepy looking Condom Man demonstrates how to use a female condom, thrusting his curled hand in an in-and-out motion to demonstrate how the condom gets "thoroughly used." He is brought to the young people of the Memphis area courtesy of Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region (PPGMR) via your hard-earned tax dollars.

Planned Parenthood facilities close at breakneck speed

Planned Parenthood facilities are closing at breakneck speed, as pro-life forces, bolstered by American Life League's Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary campaign, place Mary front and center of the battle against the abortion giant. Thirteen Planned Parenthood facilities closed in the 43-day period between July 19 and September 1, 2013, of which we are aware. There may be more. Clearly, the victories that unfold day by day across our nation, as more Planned Parenthood facilities close, are a fruit of that trust in Our Lady."

God Bless,
Jerry Novotny, OMI

"What I do you cannot do
but what you do, I cannot do.
The needs are great, and none of us,
including me, ever do great things.
But we can all do small things, with great love,
and together we can do something wonderful."  -  Mother Teresa

****************************************

ITEM #3: WHO sex-ed guidelines promote masturbation, abortion, homosexuality to children: parents outraged

So far almost 43,000 Spaniards have signed a petition opposing the guidelines.

****************************************

ITEM #4: Remarkable new 3D images of unborn children

Babies learn how to anticipate touch while in the womb and how they touch their face and head can be an indicator of how well they are developing physically and psychologically before they are born.
****************************************

ITEM #5: Five Questions Planned Parenthood Refuses to Answer on Sex-Selection Abortions

One month ago my wife and I did something that would be illegal in some parts of the world. We had our third child and for the third time we had a girl. It was one of the most joy-filled moments of our lives but for millions of parents having even a second or sometimes first daughter is an impossibility. In China, India, and other parts of the world girls are unwanted. They are viewed as having no value to the government and little value in society or even to their own families, and the result has been widespread gendercide, the systematic and deliberate destruction of girls typically through abortion though sometimes through infanticide.
****************************************
ITEM #6: Abortion And Suicide: The Grim Statistics
Pro-Choice groups and organizations such as Planned Parenthood maintain that abortion is beneficial to women. They claim that women do not have emotional problems after their abortions. Planned Parenthood’s slogan "Care. No Matter What" implies that their workers care about women and are dedicated to helping them in difficult circumstances.

****************************************

ITEM #7 Defense of marriage is a social justice issue, scholar says
Maintaining marriage as a union between a man and a woman is a matter of social justice, said Ryan Anderson, a political scholar and editor of the online journal Public Discourse, in a recent talk.
****************************************

ITEM #8: A Married Mom and Dad Really Do Matter: New Evidence from Canada

A new academic study based on the Canadian census suggests that a married mom and dad matter for children. Children of same-sex coupled households do not fare as well.
****************************************

ITEM #9: Sex and the Public Order

The age of liberation from sexual roles and standards has also been an age of ever greater inequality.

****************************************

ITEM #10: Lust – It’s Not Always About Sex

Sometimes it’s about a compulsion to dominate other people that originates in childhood rivalries and persists into adulthood as an unconscious trait. The good news is that a person can readily overcome this trait by understanding its origin, and confessors can play a pivotal role in releasing their penitents from this sin.
****************************************
ITEM #11: Medical student confronts abortion, becomes pro-life
Some time ago, I was sent this testimony from a medical student who preferred not to leave a name. He had just witnessed an abortion as part of his training. Deeply troubled, he wanted to tell someone. He was haunted by what he had seen.
****************************************
ITEM #12: Question: What are the conditions for informed consent regarding rejection of medical treatment?
There are situations in which well-meaning relatives and physicians purposely withhold information from the patient concerning a medical problem because it might cause the patient undue distress. This is not a good idea. It often fails, and the patient finds out anyway and is caused undue anxiety from not being informed. If the problem is life threatening, it robs the patient of his ability to prepare for a good death. Truth must be the basis for good medicine - just as it is for everything else in morals.
