DALLAS, Jan. 16, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- The "Stand4Life" March and Rally will be held Saturday, January 18th , 2014, to commemorate the 41st anniversary of the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion on demand throughout all nine months of pregnancy.  This year pro-lifers will celebrate the passage of HB 2 in record numbers.

Phenonomenal growth in the annual event mirrors the growth of the Pro-Life movement in Texas, and has forced planners to move pre-rally events to the KBJ Convention Center.  Texans for Life Coalition expects turnout to top 10,000 this year at what has become the State's largest pro-life event.  Another first: hundreds of Bikers for Life will lead the procession from the KBH Convention Center to the Courthouse on their motorcycles.

Addressing the crowd at the Rally at the Earle Cabbell Federal Courthouse (1108 Jackson St.) will be "Mr. Southern Baptist" Jimmy Draper, Bishop Kevin Farrell (Dallas Diocese) and Bishop-elect Michael Olson (Fort Worth Diocese), as well as BraveLove's Laura Anderson and April Keese of African Americans for Life. The Rally will begin at 3:15 p.m.

Pre-rally events include a Mass with Bishop Farrell and an Evangelical Praise & Worship Service featuring Houston pastor and author, Don Schwarz, and others who have been personally impacted by abortion. Music will be provided by the very talented J E McKissic of Arlington's Cornerstone Baptist.

According to Kyleen Wright, the president of Texans for Life, a sponsor of the event, "It is thrilling to see the March for Life topping the 10,000 mark.  Much was made of a few thousand protestors showing up in Austin last summer, but will the media dare to show our massive crowd?"  Wright also noted that North Texans feel a special obligation to end Roe, saying, "It started here and it ENDS here."

Sponsors of the rally include Texans for Life Coalition, Catholic Pro-Life Committee of North Texas, Catholics Respect Life of the Fort Worth Diocese.  See also www.texlife.org or www.dallasmarch4life.org.
