An academic study published this month reveals that about 25% of women seeking an abortion had been abused by their partners.  The meta-analysis researched and analyzed 74 previous studies from across the world to determine whether there was an association between intimate partner violence (IPV) and abortion. The results show a clear connection between the two, which must be addressed in any culture that offers its women abortion as an option. Women must be helped in the process. Read more...

Guttmacher report affirms exploding pro-life trends in US

Last week, the Guttmacher Institute (a non-profit, pro-abortion entity founded by Planned Parenthood) released a synopsis of pro-life legislation in the last thirteen years, pointing out in a “quasi-hysterical” manner that more pro-life laws were passed between 2011 and 2013 than in the entire decade preceding that period. What about those who are pro-choice and religious? It is embarrassing to see individuals like Rabbi Aaron Alexander claim, with original emphasis, that “[y]our definition of when life begins is not based on scientific fact. It is your religiously held belief. But it isn’t mine.” It’s good that the rabbi realizes the importance of religion, and thus we have that in common, but he should know better than to mix up science and religion when one doesn’t depend on the other. Whether one is pro-life for religious reasons, or she is part of the 1 in 6 million campaign of non-religious pro-lifers, she is pro-life because she knows that life actually does begin at conception. RNC Chairman delays start of winter meeting for March for Life
There have been concerns expressed about the Republican Party’s commitment to the pro-life cause, and even conceding such a position to
focus on other issues or gain more votes. The Washington Times has reported, however, that Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), recently announced he will be “delaying the start of the party’s annual winter meeting so he and other committee members can join the March for Life on the Mall[.]” Read more...
