Pro-life Stations of the Cross in San Diego

The following comes from an email to California Catholic from Helpers of God’s Precious Infants San Diego.
Procession of more than 500 people through downtown

Dear Pro-life Friends,
This year on Good Friday will be the 10th annual Pro-life Stations of the Cross in downtown San Diego. What started 10 years ago as a small group of people praying a special Pro-Life Stations of the Cross in front of the Federal Building downtown on Good Friday, has grown to an annual procession of over 500 people through the streets of downtown, ending in front of the same Federal Building. Father Saroki will lead us again this year, along with the Knights of Columbus, altar boys, and hundreds of faithful pro-life people who are willing to bring a peaceful and prayerful public witness to the streets of San Diego.

The procession starts at 12:00 noon on Good Friday on the sidewalk east of St. Joseph Cathedral (we will not be going into the church). We will process down to the old Federal Building at Front and Broadway, where we will pray the Stations of the Cross, processing back to St. Joseph’s by 1:00.
Good Friday is a somber time to reflect on the sin of abortion, and the pain it has caused our Lord, and how we need to stand up for the protection of the unborn. This is the largest outdoor public Stations of the Cross done on the streets of San Diego, and with its pro-life message, it is a particularly powerful powerful public witness.
This is a family friendly event, and children are welcome. There will be no graphic signs.
We hope to see you there.
