Planned Parenthood Leaders Prompt National Prayer Campaign

(February 10, 2016 – Chicago) When David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress released undercover videos documenting Planned Parenthood’s callous exploitation of the bodies of aborted babies, people were horrified. The Pro-Life Action League invites those who respect human life to turn that shock—even anger—into prayer for those at the center of the scandal.

Today—Ash Wednesday—the season of Lent begins, the annual 40-day period of solemn reflection for Christians worldwide. For Lent this year, the Pro-Life Action League is calling for a special prayer campaign on behalf on three women who are key Planned Parenthood figures at the heart of the scandal over harvesting and selling baby parts.

For Lent this year, the Pro-Life Action League is calling for a special prayer campaign on behalf on three women who are key Planned Parenthood figures at the heart of the scandal over harvesting and selling baby parts.
This trio of abortion industry members includes:
Dr. Deborah Nucatola, who appeared in the very first video sipping red wine and eating a lunch salad as she discussed the dismemberment of aborted children, including where to “crush” their bodies
Dr. Mary Gatter, who appeared in the second undercover video haggling about the prices Planned Parenthood could get for the body parts of aborted babies, joking that she wants “a Lamborghini”
Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards, who, after people were so shocked by what they saw in these videos, publicly apologized, even while denying that Planned Parenthood was seeking to maximize their financial gain for providing fetal tissue
Eric Scheidler, Executive Director of the Pro-Life Action League, admits these women are far from sympathetic figures and that some may find it difficult to pray for them. But Scheidler reminds people of faith of the Biblical directive to “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44), and suggests, “In God’s eyes, what abortion has done to these three women may worse than what they’ve done to unborn children, who now rest in our Lord’s loving arms. These three architects of Planned Parenthood’s baby parts scheme have devoted their lives to the destruction and exploitation of human life in the name of ‘choice.’ If we won’t pray for them, who will?”
