40 DAYS FOR LIFE: DAY 23: "Five saves today!"

image
Deacon John,
That's just one of the many email notes we've gotten from heroes of the pro-life movement -- local 40 Days for Life leaders!
Our local leaders are busy people. From working with churches to helping women to monitoring the weather, they have to keep up with a lot -- all to save lives from abortion.
Sometimes, they can only spare a moment to drop us a quick email. So here are some examples:
GERMANTOWN, MARYLAND: "Praising God for the report that at least four lives were spared from late-term abortion this morning! Thank you for praying."
MANCHESTER, ENGLAND: "One baby saved today! The mother left the clinic with a smile."
image
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: "Five saves today -- and one maybe. I didn't have time to ask -- she was in a big hurry to get away from that place! There was a lot of spiritual turmoil today ... but it was good to be on the sidewalk."
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY: "Two babies were saved today! It was an awesome day of prayer. Most of the day, there were five or more praying every hour."
TWICKENHAM, ENGLAND: "Two babies saved ... and a third perhaps as a mum missed her appointment. God is richly blessing this campaign!"
Here's a report from the UNITED tour ... where local leaders are seeing record numbers of new people getting involved.

A glorious, sunny day provided the stage for the Utah state rally in Salt Lake City. One abortion center here closed down following previous 40 Days for Life campaigns ... and the local leaders have now shifted the prayer vigil to the current site.

Lots of children and young families graced the sidewalk at the rally, providing a stark contrast with the Planned Parenthood facility that only does abortions. No "health care" happens here -- just abortion.
image
The rally location was in a residential area ... with many neighbors listening to the speakers' hope-filled messages. People told us how much it meant for the UNITED bus tour to stop here. We simply felt honored to stand shoulder to shoulder with them at this crucial time.

Our day wrapped up with the nighttime Idaho statewide rally in Meridian (just outside Boise) with nearly 150 people, including many youth, gathered in the parking lot outside the local Planned Parenthood abortion center.

In a state with fewer than 1,400 abortions per year, the people of Idaho are committed to pray and work to rid their state of abortion. The momentum continues to build across America for life!

But the Lord said "You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which came up in the night and perished in the night. And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left, and much livestock? Should I not be concerned about that great city?"
-- Jonah 4:10-11
Gracious God, loving our enemies seems like one of most difficult things you could ask of us. Please remind us that this is how you love and that if you ask it of us then you will give us the grace to do it.
