Doctor Harry, is my child going to die?

I just donated!

Dear John,

Just last week, a distraught father rushed into St. Theresa Hospital in Nzara, South Sudan with a sick child in his arms.  Our medical volunteer, Dr. Harry Owens knew right away that four-and-a-half-year-old Nathalia was gravely ill. Dr. Harry writes:
Nathalia was barely conscious. Her temperature was 104 degrees. She had a cough, diarrhea and vomiting.  It was clear that this little girl had malaria and pneumonia.

Nathalia’s father looked at me and asked,
"Doctor Harry, is my child going to die?
"
Unfortunately, sick children like Nathalia often fill the mission hospitals we serve. With your generous support, we’re sending caring and trained physicians like Dr. Harry to help care for them all.  Dr. Harry writes:
Malaria, often complicated with pneumonia in children, is a big problem and Africa is heavily hit. I’m happy to report that she survived this serious illness.

I am thankful to CMMB donors for making it possible for me and other volunteers to help families in underserved areas like South Sudan.
Because you helped Dr. Harry follow his calling to serve the poor in South Sudan, Nathalia’s story has a happy ending.

Mother Teresa reminds us, “Some people come into your life as blessings. Some people come into your life as lessons.”  With your generous support, medical volunteers bring blessings to the communities they serve.  Your donation also spreads Jesus’ lessons of love, as these devoted men and women minister to the poor with mercy and compassion.
