A quite literal “turn-around”

A sidewalk counselor in front of the Ventura Planned Parenthood abortion facility.

Dear Pro-life friends,
Report from the first week of June, 2017
It has been a while since we reported on the sidewalk counseling efforts of Helpers of God’s Precious Infants, San Diego. Please know that we appreciate your prayers, as it is always a challenge to reach out to someone in a crisis pregnancy who may or may not be willing to look into their heart, and see the humanity of the unborn child they are about to abort.
There are about a dozen sidewalk counselors with Helpers of God’s Precious Infants at this time, with about 6 to 8 who are actively sidewalk counseling during any week. There have been many women over the past month who have taken literature and have spoken to counselors, but have unfortunately still entered the clinic. However, counselors are often there for a short period of time on a particular day, and we often do not get to stay long enough to know if a woman changes her mind and leaves after initially going in.
Sometimes we are blessed with a more clear sign. One morning this week two sidewalk counselors were standing in front of the abortion center when a young woman and her older friend, or possibly her mother, were approaching the clinic. The younger woman was walking behind and made distant eye contact with one of the counselors. She abruptly froze and looked in the direction of the counselor for a few seconds, then turned where she stood, and started walking the opposite direction. The older woman who was in front, looked back at her while pointing over her shoulder to the clinic. Realizing that the other woman was walking away, she turned and followed her away from the clinic. The women did not return.
Please keep up the prayers.
God bless you all,
the sidewalk counselors of Helpers of God’s Precious Infants San Diego
